This is kind of embarrassing but I'm very frustrated with my cervix! I never know when to check it but have started checking it multiple times a day. Lately it seem to change everytime. Its always low in hte morning but sometimes moves up to high during the day etc. Anyone have any ideas?

I dont know a whole alot about CP. But it is supose to be low and firm before O. High and soft at O and low and firm agian after O. when you get PG it will go to high and soft but not until later by a few weeks or more. I know it can move around thur out the day. Its a tricky little devil. I always have a hard time w/ mine too. Its so hard to tell whats high whats soft whats low and so on. I can usually tell better when it is open and closed. It is partly open before O and all the way open during O and closed real tight after O. It starts to open some a few days or so before af is due agian. I know that if you were PG it would stay closed real tight. I hope that helped a little. I dont really know why it moves so much thur out the day but if you check it at the same time every day maybe it wont be so confusing. I try that and still cant tell sometimes. I guess I am looking for some dramatic change and I guess my changes are small.

Well good luck to you. wish I could have been of more help. Maybe someone eles will know more.

The cervix can and does move around some on a daily cycle. That is why they recommend only checking it once a day and at about the same time. It sounds like you have already noticed this pattern. Overlaying that daily pattern, there should be a cycle pattern, but it will be easier to see it if you only check once a day. You should notice the cervix get softer and higher as you get close to O and then less so after o.

Hope this helps,
