Charting TEMP Question! PLEASE HELP!!

I'm a new charter and hope someone can answer my question....

I've been such a "good girl" about taking my temp each morning at the same time, UNTIL this morning. I had a night away from home and slept HORRIBLE. At 5am I woke up after 2 hours of sleep and my temp was 97.59. I fell back to sleep and woke up at 7am and took my temp again (98.19). 7am is when I USUALLY take it, so should I go with THAT READING or the other???? Or are BOTH temps disregards since I only had 2 hours sleep prior to each reading??

My husband says I should add the two together and divide by 2. Don't know if that's cheating or not ;-)

Hopefully more expreinced Charters can HELP me! I am at an important time in my cycle so don't want to NOT chart this day if possible........

They say you should have at least 3 hours of consecutive sleep to get an accurate temp . . in your case I guess I would just go with the 7am temp but keep in mind when you're looking at the big picture, that it may not be accurate. HTH

I would probably discard this temp altogether. You need 3 hours of consecutive sleep for an accurate reading, and it sounds like you didn't get it either time.
