Right before beginning the Pap, she asked about discharge. I said that I had alot of creamy now, but think that it's just normal part of my cycle. Then she asked if I ever noticed a mucus "plug" that becomes dislodged prior to fertile time. YES!! :)
Anyway... she's running some preliminary bloodwork to make sure nothing's wrong there - thyroid, prolactin, and sugar levels. Suggested that I may want to try OPK for 1 month, to verify that I am Oing. Other than that, she doesn't advise using them in most cases.
She said that if I haven't gotten PG by December-ish to give her a call & they would do SA on DH & HSG on me. She said that HSG's actually increase fertility in some since it "cleans the tubes out"
I'm glad that I at least have a game plan. Still keeping fingers crossed that I won't need it!
Thanks for letting me ramble on!

Very reassuring when you have a nice doc to chat with, isn't it? You plan of attack sounds good. I'm going to be getting into all of that soon, when I get a referral from my doctor (have to wait until September, as it will be my first appointment with my PCP).
Much luck - hopefully, none of those tests will be needed.
BTW - hope it's not too personal, but what does the mucus plug look like exactly? I have various stages of CM, but I don't know that I have ever noticed a "plug".

I'm so glad your doctor is being proactive. I have a b/w appointment tomorrow so I'll keep you all updated! Thanks for the info. I'll see if my OB will test for the same things!

So glad to hear that your appointment went well!
I hope though, that you don't need any of those tests at the end of the year b/c you'll have you BFP long before then!!
((HUGS))!

This "plug" as she called it, is thick, clear, and kinda rubbery. For me... there's NO MISSING it!! LOL! Before I asked the ladies of the board, I wasn't sure if it was *normal*. Boy have I become enlightened!!
Hope this helps!

Thanks, Teera!
