I check mine internally. I think it's more accurate that way...sometimes it can take hours for the fluid to come down.

Definitely internally. It's way easier to determine what it is, and much faster as well.

When we were doing natural family planning they instructed us not to count anything on the underwear, or to check internally. I was to check before and after using the toilet, before and after showering, and before bed. Always on a flat piece of toilet paper, wipe front to back (obviously!) and notice sensation (does it feel 'lubricative;?)observation (does it look clear or cloudy?) and finger test (does it stretch) (remember 'S.O.FT.) anything clear, stretchy and/or lubricative is considered 'peak type' mucus and is leading up to ovulation (last day of peak type is day of ovulation). They instructed that conception can occur "peak plus three" though I think I heard that the egg only lives for what is it... one or two days, so I figure they say that because it is also used for avoiding pregnancy. We used this method to concieve #1 and it worked on the second cycle because I did it 'religiously', though with #2 I didn't do it as consistantly and it took longer. hth!!!

Good luck!!!
