Me-30, DH newly 34, diagnosed with PCOS in Nov/Dec 2008. 3 Failed cycles of Clomid. (50mg, 100mg, 150mg) Started working with RE Nov 26. Asked for & started M
I am getting ready to start my first cycle of Clomid as well. A few days ago i finished my last Provera to start my cycle. My Dr. wanted me to start the clomid on CD5-9, and I am to count CD1 as my first day of spotting. She wanted me to come in every 23rd day to check my levels (progestrone i guess) to see if i O'd or not. I would like to do OPK or CBEFM but i am not sure if it would work with the Clomid or not. Also, not sure when to actually start using the OPK tests either. With PCOS, it has always been hard to pin down my cycle.
Good Luck with the Clomid! I know I am excited to start the journey with it.
Hey Steph1461! I just started 50mg Clomid this week. My doctor told me to wait until I had *actual* blood before I counted it as my first day. They also said if you start your period right before bed, count the next day as your first cycle day. If you have a question...I would call the doctor to find out for sure! I know you don't want to mess anything up (and delay the baby making process)! As far as side effects, I'm on day 2 and so far I've had a headache and I've been really tired (kind of like I'm in a fog). A lot of women have hot flashes, but I haven't experience anything like that. I hope this helps!
My doctor said it didn't matter if you counted spotting day 1 or flow day 1, so I counted spotting as day 1. But other people's
