CM & Saliva update

Am on cd 10 and getting very excited. I have been examining my saliva under a microscope. It is only x20 magnification but today for the first time I can see a small amount of ferning!

I have been taking 10ml robittussin four times a day since day 6, plus drinking two glasses of grapefruit juice, lots of water, lots of green tea, and taking primrose oil as well. However so far I have not seen any EWCM, but will be keeping a close eye on it over the next few days and will let you know if there is a difference to last cycle.

Have also been examining my cervix and today could see clearly that the opening (the "os") is larger. It is a bit harder to reach and I think is softening a little.

Fascinating to see all the symptoms beginning, can't wait to see if the CPFM gives a peak reading over the next few days.

CSM....I need your help. It sounds like the robi, graprefuit is working. The way I understand it is that those two ingredients makes the CM more favorable to sperm(thinner). Heres my situation. The last cycle and unfortunetly this cycle, I have noticed very little EWCM. I normally would have it (before early miscarriage in 8/03) in abundance from day 11or 12 - cd 15-18 when I would O. I am discouraged. I tried to get Pre Seed and no luck. B/Oed for months. Am I too late to use Robi? How much in Tsp's or TBPS do I take? It looks like I'm to start on cd6 from your post. I'm on CD12. Oh well. Just let me know.

I usually start BD when I see the EWCM, but, that doesn't seem to happen anymore. I don't have that as of this morning:( DH and I started to BD anyway. Figured I'll just BD on CD 12,14,16 and see what happens. Wish me luck. Thanks for your optimistic post. It gives me hope. MArcy

Hi Marcy,

So sorry to hear about your m/c...

Although I put in my post that I'm taking robittussin it is actually the UK equivalent. I am taking 4 TBSP per day, about 1 every 6 hours. You should look on the bottle for the maximum allowable dose and use that. If you can start today I think there is a chance it can still have an effect, what day do you normally ovulate? I'm expecting to ovulate on cd 13 and started on cd 6. If you think you might not ovulate till cd 16 then I'd say it's definitely worth a go for this cycle, I do believe the effect kicks in quite quickly.

I am also staying as hydrated as I possibly can, drinking several cups of green tea and lots of warm water throughout the day. Also taking quite a lot of salt on my food, as with this much water you can lose too much salt, I think.

Am also eating lots of fatty foods, partly because I'm underweight, this is just a guess on my part that it might also help CM.

Lots of baby dust to you!

Usually, you want to start Robitussin and such at 6DPO and continue through ovulation. If you haven't O'd, yet, I would start right away and stop after O. I usually O on CD14, so I take Robi and Splash from CD6-16.
