Conception after an IUD?

Hi Ladies! Happy Wednesday! I have a question about conception after a 5 yr IUD....

Has anyone else had an IUD in place for 5 yr, and If so were you able to conceive after with or without a problem?

I had mine taken out on Dec. 21, and got my AF like 3 days later... Which I guess is good, because I never got my AF while I had the IUD.. Well any comments would be helpful Thanks :)

I got mine out in early October (4 years ago), AF didn't show up until after Thanksgiving, and I found out I was pg in January...so it took only 2 cycles.

That's very cool Deenie im so happy you found Mr. Right!! And now able yo start a family! Very exciting! How many children to you have? Ages? Mine are DS 6 and DD 5. so I think there will be a good age difference. So keep me posted!!! I wish you best of luck! Hope you get your BFP! And no AF for us this month! Lol

Thanks! We are thrilled :) my DD is 9, she'll be 10 in june so its a pretty big age difference, but she'll be a big helper. Actually, my story is pretty wacky, but DD doesn't know we r married yet because we've not been together long, he needed insurance. We will have a real ceremony that includes her in a couple months when she's fully comfortable with him. She pretty much is now, but a little longer is better. She's been asking me for years to have anothr baby LOL. At that time I never wanted to get married again, never mind have more babies! Boy was I wrong :)
