ok so does hcg rise after implantation or just after inital pregnancy stuff? just wondering because i put in my dates into a calculator thing and it said my implantation date should be april 13th which if hcg rises with implantation maybe its too soon still? im not sure when AF is due i was expecting my cycle to fix this time where its usually a 28 day cycle but last month it was a 35 day cycle so its due anywhere from april 15th thru april 22 i think but i am feeling preg and we bd'd like every day lol (tmi)

Hi! to answer your question, HCG is being by the placenta as soon as implantation happens, about one week after fertilization and ovulation. As soon as the embryo implants and the placenta attaches to the uterine lining, hCG enters the blood circulation and it is eventually excreted from the blood through the kidneys into the urine. Itwon't usually show in an HPT until 10-11 DPO, but that is still too early to tell for most women. Do you chart?

Yes, charting can be confusing at first, but definitely worth it. Go to fertilityfriend.com and sign up for a free account. You will also need a basal thermometer which you can get at any drugstore. Take your temp at around the same time every morning after at least 4 hours sleep. You can take it orally or vaginally. The benefit of doing it vaginally is more accurate temp and you can either get those little plastic sleeves for the thermometer (most come with them) or clean it with alcohol after each use. Once you start getting the hang of it all it will be easy. Fertility Friend (FF) will automatically show you when you ovulated. they also have a great tutorial...

Hope this helps! I also hope you get your BFP and don't need this info :-)
