We found out today that DH has a low morphology, and we are planning to meet with the fertility doctor to discuss it further. My OBGYN mentioned that IUI might help. I'm just wondering....is this typically covered by insurance? If not, how much does this type of treatment cost? Thanks for any info!!!

Hi -

We were possibly going to have to go this route but didn't. I checked with my dr and they told me it was $350.00. It is not covered by most insurance companies.

Anna

Most insurance companies do not cover the procedure, but your best bet is to find out for sure. Your Dr's office will be able to tell you just how much they charge for the procedure. I believe the going rate is between $300-400 per round.

I just wanted to ask a few questions. I assume you found out your DH has low normal sperm morphology because he had a SA? How many SA's has he had done? There should always be at least one follow-up SA
