With a thirty day cycle, you would probably ovulate on day 16 of your cycle. I say this because you usually have your period about 14 days after you ovulate (this is called a luteal phase). Now most people always have the same length luteal phase every month and its most common for them to be 12 to 14 days long from what I have heard. So basically when you get your period each month, count back about 14 days and you'll know about when you ovulated...for instance, you probably ovulated September 20 last month. So if your period started on the 3rd, then day 16 would be October 18. So I would guess you ovulated around that day. Now today is just 7 days later than that, so it would probably be a bit too early to test. Implantation usually takes place around 6-9 days after ovulation, but can sometimes be even longer. HCG, the hormone a home pregnancy test detects, is not present in your blood or urine until the baby implants, and they say you won't be able to detect the hCG until the earliest 2 days after implantation, or maybe even 3-4. So the safest bet is to wait just a little longer and then test. As far as your symptoms, some of the pains could have been ovulation and then i know my boobs always get sore after ovulation too. I hope this helps.
it could be - you are 3 days after me for AF, and my symptoms started at 8-9 dpo. your symptoms are EXCELLENT pg symptoms. i got a bfp at 10 dpo.(2 days ago) so since you are at about the same point as I, if you like to test early, go for it!!

Hi again! I was hoping an expert like Jenny would come along and help you out more. She's a pro, she's got baby #3 on board. :) So definitely listen to her. I'm sorry about telling you to wait a little bit to test, I would definitely do as Jenny says. Maybe you'll get your BFP sooner this way! If you have a Dollar Tree or a Dollar General around you can get tests there for a dollar. So you could get a couple of those and you wouldn't have to worry about spending money. They are sensitive tests too.
The tests you get at the Dollar Tree and Dollar General are actually sensitive to 25, which is what tests like First Response Early Result claims to detect. A lot of the girls on here use them. If you would like, go to www.peeonastick.com. Its a great website that compares HPTs and gives you lots of information on them and other things ttc related. Honestly, if you have a gut instinct that you are pregnant, then there is no harm in testing UNLESS you can't handle a possible negative. I get so depressed when I get a negative, I think the month is a bust for sure. With my DD this happened several times with all kinds of tests and I kept thinking, it should show by now, I'm not pregnant. Then finally at 18 days past ovulation I got a BFP! So the point is, you might take a test, get a negative, and still be pregnant. One nice thing about the dollar tests is that you can go get several of them for the price of one HPT that's name brand. Then you can test every day if you want to and not worry about the money. It also helps if you use first morning urine especially since its early. Oh-and what some of the ladies do on here is if they get a positive on one of the dollar store tests then they go get a digital so they can see the word pregnant and know for sure, without analyzing lines. And its neat to show DH. :)
Wish you the best of luck. I'm waiting to test and I know how hard it is.
My nipples are sticking out but they're not hard, they're a little sore and the area around my nipple (areola) is red and they're usually a real light brown. Could be because they're sore, they've turned red?

I really do hope that is the case. I'm in the same boat as you. I had my o Nov. 2 and now have the bloating feeling, twinging cramps, tender breasts but not as tender as they would be during a period. Hot through out the past 2 days. I would like to think I am but I wonder if my mind is wanting this so bad that the symptoms are there because of that. Good luck and let keep us posted.
Okay, i will try to help you as best I can. :)
