After 15 years on the pill, i went off 5 months ago to try and get pregnant. For the first 3 months i had 28-30 day cycles. Then, last month I had a 36 day cycle with light spotting on days 16/17/18 and then a real period day 36. This month, it's been 41 days and I had the same light spotting on days 20-23. I have had SUPER light spotting (not even enough to show on panty liner...just on toilet paper) for the last 5 days but that's it. I have tender breasts but no nausea or cramps or any other symptoms. Took hpt today and it's negative.

Anyone ever experience anything like this? I dont want to bug my ob/gyn yet as I'm wondering if this is just possibly still adjusting after being on the pill so long. Anyone take an hpt this far along, have it come out negative, and still be pregnant?

oh yeah...i'm 34 in case that makes a difference. uggggh.

This isn't unusal with being on the pill so long...it can take up to a year to adjust from it...but don't feel silly or even bothersome for calling the ob office..if you have questions about this ask them...but I wouldn't worry...but you might want to go in the office and talk to them about some provera this will get your period going again since cycle is so long...hope this helps
