DID AN OPK EVER WORK FOR YOU

So here I am 5 days after my cycle and its time to start trying for child number 2. I am starting to use a OPK and today I got my first NEG. My period fluctuates between 22 to 25 days so I started testing early. Have any of you had a successful Pregnancy after using an OPK? And how fast did it work, possibly within your first month or later???

Yes. I used OPKs and could never get a positive test alerting me to the fact that I wasn't ovulating. Then, the doctor put me on a round of Clomid, I tested and got a surge, BD'ed and had my BFP that cycle. So they have really helped me in the past. I will always use them because of that. So much easier to narrow down the window.

I didn't get a positive with every cycle that I tried a OPK. I did use OPK's the month I conceived my son but I never got a true positive.

Good Luck though! It's always worth a try!

OPK's can't really tell you if you're really ovulating. They're just a guide to help you with knowing when you're hormones spike and you should be O'ing soon. The only way you can know you're really O'ing is with blood work or with monitoring your BBT's and watching for a temperature spike. The OPK's show the LH surge that should happen just before your egg is released. Happy BD'ing, hope this helps.
