My Dh and I have bd every evening for the last five days (sat, sun, mon, tues & wed). I have a very strong OPK today. Did we bed enough? My dh just found out his close friend died in a car accident today and I don't want to pressure him to bed one more time tonight. Do you think I still have a good chance? I really want this to be the month. We never bed so much and really tried this time. I don't want to be selfish and push him into it. Honest thoughts please. I am cd14 today.

Thanks.

Jenn, first of all, I'm so sorry about your friend. Sending you and your DH lots of P&PT to get through the next few difficult days. Now, as for your question, sperm can live up to 5 days in fertile CM, so if you miss bd'ing the day of O, you still can get pg. Good luck, I hope this is your month.

Jenn,

I am sorry for your loss. Such a tragedy.

To answer your questions - You BD'd plenty. As a matter of fact, the new "news" says that BDing on O day actually doesn't do that much good. It's best to have those spermies waiting there for when the egg comes out. And to BD on O day, since you won't know what time you O, may not actually help any unless you can time O to the minute.

Don't worry - your timing is fine.

I am sorry for your loss. If it were me, I would see if he would--having a surge on your OPK means you'll ovulate in the next 24-36 hours. Good luck!

Jenn:

I'm sorry to hear about your husband's friend - that is a tragedy!

Since you got a positive OPK today, that means you'll O in 12 - 36 hours - so, I would either try to do it today or tomorrow morning and every day until your temp rises.

Hope that helps!
