Do you think old BBT data is useful?

I haven't been taking temps for BBT data, just checking CM & CP. SO I only have a general idea of when I O'd.
I came across a stack of old charts from when I was TTC my son, 8 years ago (can it be that long?) I'm wondering if a person's luteal phase generally stays the same, or if it changes through life. I had thought mine was 13-14 days, but on the old charts it was usually 11, once it was 12. My cycles have been like clockwork, except for the occasional shift when I've changed homes or had some other big change. Even when those big changes happened it settled back into the old 30 day long routine the following cycle.
If that's the case, then I'm not really 12 DPO, like I thought, but more like 9DPO (as of Thurs). That makes a big difference on a PG test!

I don't know about chars that are 8 yrs. old, but so far my chart this cycle (my first cycle TTC #2) is very close to my last chart from 4 years ago. Not much of a help, but there's a possibility it's all the same! HTH!
