This is the first month of my husband and I ttc our fourth child. This is the first time we've ever used an ovulation predictor kit (the previous times I just went by cm). The first day of my last period was september 30th. On October 14th i got a positive with my opk. my cycle is 26 days. With all my other children I tested on day 27( period 1 day late) and got positives. This time I tested 5 days early with a first response 5 days early pregnancy test. It was negative which really dissapointed my hubby and I. After I took the test I got to thinking since I didn't get a positive with the opk until

It could DEFINITELY still be too early to get a BFP with an HPT! Even though First Response says they can give you results five days before your missed period, I have very rarely heard of that actually happening. I didn't get a positive with First Response until about 15 dpo, after I had already gotten a bunch of positives with Equate and Clear Blue! So I would wait a few days and test again (or if you are obsessive like me and have money to burn, take one every morning for the next week! LOL)

Good luck and Baby Dust!!!

I swear those FRER were made to make me feel bad.

The first time I got pregnant, I wasn't trying, so I tested way way late, so I automatically got the whole two lines thing.

However, this time since we were trying,

I would definately wait and not test early as appealing as it is and hard not to it is definately for the best to wait I think. I am currently 7wk6d and I started testing early which I promised myself I wouldn't. I had an m/c in July and had I not started testing early I would not have know about the m/c it would have just been a late AF. Anywho so I started testing at like 9dpo and was getting negatives so I ordered opks so I could back up my CBEFM and I bought new sticks for my CBEFM and a BBT because I had started spotting and was sure I was out because FRER says it's accurate early and I had gotten my positive early the last time, well after blowing all that money, bam positive test on 14 dpo. I know I know 14dpo seems early to count myself out but the spotting was something i had always had before AF and I figured coupled with the neg tests, I mean I had a neg test on 13dpo. So I would hold off until the day af is due before testing because it can be so disheartening. Best of luck and baby dust.
