Hi, everyone. I read about ectopic pregnancy. not that im preganant. But Iam TTc#1.
i read that ectopic preganancy symptoms are similar to pregancy sypotms like pain in the lower abdomen just like you feel before a period or when you miss a period and you think that you are preganant. does anybody know anything on this. also any warning signals to see during this time. is this ectopic pregnancy , matter of great concern.
could anyone shed some light on this . just going through all possiblities and preparing myself:-)
thanks

I'm no expert on ectopic pregnancy...but I've read a little about it before. I think one of the signs you can look for is severe pain on either side and shoulder pain! I think the pain in the shoulder is radiated pain...but it is something doctors will ask about.
Try not to worry too much about ectopic pregnancy, though...I think it is pretty rare!

That is a common concern, I am sure. When I got pg with DS, Ihad really really bad pains down below, and I was worried it was ectopic. My OB told me they would be so excruciating that I wouldn't be able to walk. I don't think light cramping or pressure should be a cause of concern, as both feelings are quite normal during our cycles.

I had an ectopic pregnancy diagnosed in February 2003, and it was terminated shortly thereafter. It's very rare and I wouldn't worry about it :)
My situation was different - I didn't have any pain because mine was caught very early on. My OB believes in early U/S, so right away I knew something was wrong because nothing could be found via U/S, even when I was 8 and 10 weeks along. Also, my HCG levels didn't progress they way they should have, and that helped with the diagnosis. Had I gone much longer, the OB said I would have had the major symptom of major abdominal pain - so bad that it's truly unbearable.
Cramping in early PG is nothing like an ectopic, so you can take comfort in that. Best of luck to you, let me know if I can answer any additional questions for you.
