Electric mattress pad? Bad?

I've read and heard that electric blankets are bad for you if you are pregnant because they raise your body temp. Does anyone know if this is true? We have an electric mattress pad as opposed to a blanket, and I usually turn it on really, really low, just enough to take the chill out (I'm always cold and have to be really warm to sleep). I'm just wondering if that is bad if we are TTC? It's not hot by any means and I certainly don't sweat or get overheated, it's just a little warm. Any thoughts??

I would think its fine, but I dont know. I just know you arent suppose to be in a hot tub when preg or anything else that can get you that hot and take blood flow away from the baby, I would think you are fine though.

Yes it is bad if you are PG but not TTC, I dont think. The only thing is it could mess up your temps if you chart. But if you use it everyday than it shouldnt mess them up. Good luck!!!

BTW: The heat could be killing DH sperm. He should not use the heating blanket just in case. sorry
