Holy Sh#@. I cannot believe this power outage. Our power just went back on after being out since 4:00 ish PM yesterday. I WALKED from lower Manhattan to Queens (for non-New Yorkers, VERY FAR). Took me 3.5 hours. My legs are killing me. DH was a wreck because he thought I had gotton stuck in the subway. Hope all other affected by the blackout are OK.

No blackout here in Beantown, but I've been reading about it all morning. All of my friends and family in Toronto were hit and I can't get ahold of them. Sounds like everyone behaved well, and helped each other as much as possible. Apparently every major intersection in Toronto was being manned by regular citizens directing traffic. It's amazing what crises will do to bring out the best in people.

Don't expect our awesome CL Tara around anytime soon. She's in Brampton and that may not have power yet.

Hope everyone is okay!

Hi!

I live in the Cleveland area and we had no power and still have no water this morning. I had to come to work (which has power) without a shower - ick!

Hope everyone is okay. I'm over in Indy, we're lucky the black out didn't get this far, but our power was being pulled pretty heavily, but we still have power. Hope it gets restored really soon for all of you

Good morning ladies... I'm in New Jersey - and we lost power last night. My DH works in New York City and didn't get back to NJ until 9:30 pm.... he left his office near Wall Street at 4:30 pm!!! I had to go pick him up from where the ferry dropped him off... and we didn't get home until 11:30 pm!! I'm exhausted today.

Good news though, I asked my DH last night if he thought I was PG, and he said "Yes!" - which is great, because last month I thought yes, and he thought no... and he was right... so maybe it's a sign about this month!!! I can't really test until the 21st... since AFNW on 8/20.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear that everyone is ok, despite the blackout!

Well, I'm here! All of southern/central Ontario went out too- we lost power about 4:15pm yesterday and got it back at home about 5:30am this morning....I drove to work on NO gas and discovered that home is one of the few places that has had the power restored! No gas stations open- work is closed- I just turned around and drove home. I searched all over fo a gas station open and finally found one and waited in line for almost an hour-eeek. But, the tank is full now and we're still heading up north to our sales meeting for the weekend- power or not! Yikes! I hope it's not too much longer. We're not suppose to be using anything unneccesary so I'm checking in here and shutting down.

I hope everyone else is okay too!

Tee,

I'm so glad you made it home safely. I bet it was a bit scary at first not knowing what was going on. And it was great you weren't stuck on the subway! That would have freaked me out if I was!

Glad you're safe.

Katie

p.s. we were totally spared in Boston! I didn't even hear about it until about 5:30!
