(maddiesmom_26). Please welcome Tuesday's featured member, Cherisse! Ask away ladies. Get creative, but don't get personal. Make Cherisse feel like Queen for the Day!

SPECIAL NOTE:

Featured members for Tuesday and Wednesday are going to be a little different. Tuesday's featured member is Cherisse (maddiesmom_26). Please ask her questions as usual. However, I am posting the featured member folder for Peggie (diksea_gal) who is the Wednesday featured member now also. The reason is that Peggie can only answer questions at night, so we will post our questions for her Tuesday, she'll answer them Tuesday night, then we'll read her answers on Wednesday. Please, please take the time to post both ladies questions. Make Cherisse feel like the one and only Queen on Tuesday, and not like she's sharing her lime light. Take the time to post questions to Peggy even though she won't be answering. Thanks so much for all of your cooperation with featured members!!

Love & hugs,

Anne

Hi, Cherisse. I hope you're having a great day being Queen. And a huge congrats on your BFP. I'm so very happy for you! Ok, here's the question:

If you had to leave a time capsule the size of a microwave oven to be found centuries from now, what would you put inside it and why?

Have fun!!

Thank you, Michelle!! You are such an angel! You are going to make a GREAT Mom one of these days, and I pray it is MUCH sooner than later!! Keep me updated, okay?

Here we go...

Here are my questions:

Do you like smoothies? If so, what is your favorite kind?

What is your favorite flower?

Do you like to garden?

I LOVE smoothies! My favorite is strawberry with banana & yogurt, and maybe a bit of honey. YUM!!

My favorite flower is a Rose. A nice plump red (or yellow...I'm a Texas girl after all!) rose. I LOVE the smell, and I think they are so beautiful. One day I plan to have several rose bushes...once the kids are old enought to not poke themselves! :-)

I'm not a big gardener, but I love to plant flowers. Just in flower pots, or around trees and such. That's about it, though.

Thanks, girl! Big {{{HUGS}}}!

GA, Shelly!! Thank you!!!

1. When you married DH, did you keep your maiden name, take his, or hyphenate?

2. What is your favorite holiday?

I took DH's last name in a heartbeat! LOL! My maiden name is Crain, and since I'm tall, it was always a source of teasing. So, I was glad to take DH's name. That wasn't the only reason, though. I was proud to take his name, just as my Mom had taken my Dad's. I guess it really wasn't a question for me, although I do understand when and why others don't (take their DH's last name).

My favorite holiday by far is Christmas!! My b-day is in December, so that's bascially my favorite month, too! I have very fond memories of our family Christmas celebrations, and I hope to pass on lots of great Christmas memories to my children. I think it is a very magical time, and I LOVE IT!

Thanks!!

Thanks, Anne!!! I had my bloodtest today, so tomorrow they will call to confirm. I'm on pins and needles waiting for that call! LOL! And thank you for all you have done here with the Queen of the Day! You are certainly Queen of the Year!! :-)

Okay, on with your question...

If you had to leave a time capsule the size of a microwave oven to be found centuries from now, what would you put inside it and why?

Gosh...that's a hard one. Well, one thing would certainly be tons of pictures. I love to scrapbook, so maybe some of my scrapbooks as well. That way those who found it could see what we looked like, what we wore, and what we found important. Secondly, I would leave a journal. One that I would write what we do, how advanced we are right now, and what life is like. That way they could see how far they had come from this time, and how different life had become. Lastly, I would leave some money. Bills and coins. That way they could see what we used to barter, and they would have something precious from the past.

Thanks! That's something I would have never thought about! :-)

Oh, Cherisse, I have tears in my eyes right now because of what you said! That is so very sweet of you and I will be sure to keep you updated dear. Please keep those fingers crossed for me ok?

I just wanted to say that I love smoothies too! My favorite is raspberry. I just made a blueberry and banana one this morning and boy was it delicious! I'm not trying to steal the lime light away from you just wanted to share. :) My DF's grandmother who passed away in March had several large rosebushes in her yard. I miss her so much. :(

Love ya,

Michelle

Thanks, Maggie!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!! I want to see that BFP announcement from you soon!! :-)

1- Where did you grow up?

2- What is one of your favorite memories in your childhood town?

I grew up in Lewisville, Texas. It is a city just north of Dallas, Texas, so we were always close to great shopping if we needed it! :-) One of my favorite memories is the 4th of July celebrations. My Dad and cousin built my sister and I a fort in our backyard when we were young. Lewisville did their fireworks show just a few miles from our house, so we could sit up in our fort and watch it all. We would cook out hamburgers & hot dogs, have homemade ice cream (YUM!), and then watch the show from our own back yard. Ahhhh...what fun it was!

Thanks for the memory of that!

Oh sweet Michelle, I didn't want to make you cry! :-) But I know they are simply tears of happiness. You will be a Mom before you know it, and you will be GREAT at it!! It is hard and challenging, but the rewards are endless! I have a 2 year old DD, and I can't wait to do it all over again! :-)

I'm sorry to hear about DF's grandmother. Maybe you can use roses in some way at your wedding in memory of her. Just an idea.

Best wishes, and please keep us updated!!

You're welcome -- thanks for sharing your 80s moment (or 70s moment or 90s moment --- LOL, I don't know how old you are!) with us. Those really were the days...

Hope you enjoyed being Queen for a day -- and congratulations on your BFP!!! I'm so happy for you!
