My question is this: Other than infertility, if you could be famous for finding a cure for something, what would it be and why?

I am not a real car afficianado, but I think SAFETY is key!! Those Mom mobiles (SUV's & Minivans) need to be as safe as regular sedans. But also keep 'em cute :)

I only get ONE charity??! If I had to give to just one, it would be the American Cancer Society. I watched 2 grandparents suffering through lung cancer, and other family memebers that have had / or had scares with other types of cancers.
HOWEVER.... I would also like to donate some to AIDS related charities, the March of Dimes, and charities helping families that are down on their luck.
Got me thinking with this question!

I LOVE this question!
I have moved a few times... I was born on Cape Cod, MA. Then spent a little over a year in Connecticut.... then moved down to southern Louisiana and stayed there for around 5 years. When my grandmother became ill we headed "home" to the Shenandoah Valley in VA. After college I picked up and moved to the Boston area. WHEW!!
I currently live about 30 miles north of Boston, MA, but would head home to VA in a heartbeat. I just need to convince DH to come along. Virginia just has a certain "feel" to me. It's like a big hug - all encompassing. The area is just beautiful! I lived near the mountains, but could easily drive to the beach or DC. Besides, my mom is still there & my very best friend are there. Would love to see them more often :)
Thanks for letting me "go home" for a trip today!

Well.... I met up with some friends at a local bar where they have dueling pianos. Wasn't feeling very attractive & had just gotten a haircut that I HATED. I was a little late meeting the group, so they had already chosen a seat next to another group. My DH was seated next to one of my friends. At this bar you request songs by bringing a slip of paper with your chosen song written on it & $. I couldn't leave my seat, so I asked him to bring it up for me ;)
A little later on in the night, I looked across the room & spotted him. Just like in the movies, he started walking toward me & asked me to dance (wish I could remember the name of that song!)
As for the proposal, he brought me to a little beach in Hyannis, MA on Cape Cod that we had visited before a few days before Valentine's Day in 2001. There is a granite bench on a hillside overlooking the sea. He had me sit down. Then he asked me "Do you know how much I love you? SO much that I want to spend the rest of my life with you." THen he dropped to one knee & held out the ring box. I wasn't quite sure what to do so I GRABBED the ring box :) He told me I had to give him an answer before I got the ring. And of course I said YES!!!
Thank you for letting me share this special day!!

I studied Biology in college with the plan on heading to Medical School. I often thought that I would like to be involved in finding the cure for cancer. I had family members afflicted with this disease. I also thought that I would like to find a cure for AIDS after an uncle contracted it.
Thank you for asking!
