Hi, Leslie! You're welcome for the Featured member. I love doing it and love learning more about everyone here. Each of these women is so remarkable. We're quite a group!

As for why I decided to become a doctor, should I give you the medical school interview answer or the real answer? ;) The real reason is a combination of things: I love science, especially health science; I want to do something that matters; I want to be able to be the kind of doctor that I have often wished I had... one who listens and spends a little time educating and explaining; and I like to be in charge. :) As for what I look forward to most, right now that'd probably just be being able to set my own hours and spending more time with patients and less time with books!

Thanks so much for the great question, Leslie. Have a good day!

GM, fearless leader, Tara! BTW, I read your post yesterday about ovulation not necessarily matching your O pains or temps. Very interesting. I appreciated the post & will have to remember to BD ALL THE TIME next month, just to make sure!

Actually, I live in Houston, TX. :) I grew up in Waco, TX (200 m. north) and went to college halfway in between Waco and Houston. Haven't moved around much in my life. As for which I like best, that's hard to say. I love Houston because it's big so there's a lot to do here. On the other hand, the traffic is horrible. I love Waco because it's a nice size town and all of the people who watched me grow up, know me the best, and love me the most (except for DH, of course) live there. It feels like home. Next year, we're moving to North Carolina and I am really excited about that. Maybe I'll see snow a time or two while I'm there, and it is so much more beautiful than this part of the country. So how's that for not really answering the question? Thanks for taking the time to ask a question. Have a great day!

Hi, Kristy. What a good question!

DH and I met in college. We were freshman orientation leaders together in the same orientation group. We had to hide our relationship until orientation was over because orientation leaders weren't supposed to date. It was scandalous! ;) Anyway, we dated for 3 years before he proposed. There was a park near the university that we used to go to all the time. It had a pond and we took our dog there to swim and play with other dogs. It was a special place. So anyway, we had graduated and moved away, but we were driving through town one day and he said, "Hey, let's stop at the park and let Hershey (the dog) play. He hasn't been there in so long." I agreed, so we drove there and started walking around. I was complaining and asking to leave because it was August and so HOT, but he wouldn't let us leave. Finally, we were sitting by the pond, and he knelt down and popped the question. It was a great day. Thanks for the wonderful memory!

Hi Anne!

What is your birthstone? Do you like it, love it or hate it? What is your most favorite gemstone?

Hope you have a fantastic day!

Hi, Rita. BTW, congrats on those sky high temps. WOW! If that's not a pregnant chart, I'll be shocked! GL over the next few days and lots of ~~~AFSA~~~ vibes comin' at you (but saving a few for myself, too!) :)

As for my birthstone, I'm a September baby, so it's the sapphire and I LOVE it. It is my favorite gemstone (I'm also quite partial to diamonds, but since the sapphire is mine, it ranks just a bit higher).

Thanks for the great question!

Greetings Queen Anne!

I hope you are having a wonderful day :) I'll use my old standby question because I always love the answers! So....

What is the coolest thing you have ever done?

Cheers!

Hi Lori. Great question. I guess I'd have to say that it was when I was 17 and went on a mission trip to the Dominican republic to help build a medical clinic. While we were there, we met an American doctor doing some missionary work there (mostly treating and vaccinating children) and since I was interested in medicine, she let me follow her around for the day. It was a real eye-opener for a sheltered little private school girl to see the abject poverty in whih the people lived. But, it was amazing as we went from house to house vaccinating and treating kids how much gratitude they showed us (well, the parents did, the kids mostly cried). Anyway, it was a life-changing event and why I am now in medical school. Thanks for the great question. have a good day!

Would you have a dream car to go with it? Will your dream car need upgrading when you get your bfp? Huge (((((((((hugs)))))))))))!!!! LOLove, Connie

Hi, Connie! Haven't "talked" to you in awhile, girl. I've been keeping up with you though. As for the question...

My dream house. Hmmm... let's see. It wouldn't be too big (too hard to clean and separates everyone too much). It would have a big wrap-around front porch with rockers and a swing and a georgeous garden. It would also be decorated tastefully and classically inside, but no clutter! Our bathroom would have to have one of those whirlpool tubs and two walk-in closets, and the kitchen would be huge with granite countertops and all the best appliances. We'd have a pool and a top notch grill in the backyard, and it would be on at least 2 acres. As for the car, I'd really love a BMW sedan. White, or maybe black. And nope, it wouldn't have to be updated when I get that BFP!

Thanks for a grate daydream. Have a good day!

Anne
