Queen Bethanee!

Here are some questions for you:

1. What will your nursery look like?

2. How many children do you want to have?

3. What do you look like?

4. How did you and your DH meet?

5. What was your wedding like?

Thank you Connie! :-)

No pitty party here, I just wanted to thank her for bumping me up. I felt stupid doing it for myself if people were not interested today. :-0

So... my dream house. Well, I live in New England, and one of the things I love most about NE, are the huge old victorian homes. The trim work and the details are just amazing. Having traveled around the country I don't think people in NE even realize how lucky we are to have such beautiful houses.

The house details: 2 stories, 5 bdrms (one for each kid and one for us), 3 baths - a master, one for the kids, and a downstairs one. A HUGE gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a double refridgerator and a double oven combo. An island - which we have now and I love. All cherry cabinets with matted silver knobs. And green marble floors, back splash, and counter tops. I can visualize it already and it's beautiful!

The master bath would HAVE to have a huge spa bath tub with jets, as well as a separate shower with a his and her shower nozzle... also all the jets along the walls of the shower.

The laundry would be on the second floor!!!

The whole house would have heated flooring!!! A must in NE!

There would be a lot of molding - crown molding, chair railing, shadow boxes on the lower halves of the walls, and thick base baords.

Outside the house - VERY IMPORTANT!!! A wrap around deck!!! I want it now, but it would look so dumb on our house! I want a hanging swing, and cape cod rockers all around the house, with hanging baskets of bright flowers.

It would have to have all the detailing and trim work. The colors would be white house, black shutters.

The yard - huge and open with a beautiful garden throughout... like walking through a professional garden somewhere. An inground pool - but not just the typical pool - one that looks like it belongs in with the landscape. Rock rolls, a small upper level that flows to a lower level pool. It would be shaped, instead of a rectangular - blue one. :-) Although, I'd take that right now too! :-)Don't get me wrong, I'm just lsting my DREAM house! Also, a large play area for the kids.

Driveway - heated and LONG! We want our house set way back on our property so that we have our own quaint place, with no other houses in sight. We want neighbors, just not in sight.

So Connie, you asked for details and you got them! Man, we need to win the lottery!!! :-) I'm excited and we'll never have this! :-)

Thanks again Lissa,

DH - Jason - and I started going to the same church together and did not even know it. We were also planning to attend the same college and didn't know it.

I had been going to the church for about 3 months when Jason's father saw me sitting 3 rows ahead of them and told his wife and Jason's brother, "See that girl up there with the blonde hair? That is the woman Jason is going to marry!"

You'd have to know my FIL to know that he is the MOST UNEMOTIONAL man in the world, so for him to make a statement like that was taken seriously and it was quite bizzare! (Jason was not there at church that day, so he had not heard this.)

3 months later (Jason and I still had not met and I had not met his parents still.) Jason's mother walks up to me at church, shakes my hand, and says, "Hello, I'm Marion. What's your name?" I tell her, then she says, "Come here please." I say, "Uh.... okay."

Now we were in church so I wasn't scared, but it was just weird! ;-)

I walk over with her and she leads me to her family and says, "Jason, this is Bethanee. Bethanee, this is Jason. BETHANEE is going to the University of Maine Jason! Maybe you should get to know her and show her around school! Bethanee, what's your number? This is our number - pulling out a pen and paper to write it down!" (Again,I'm thinking, this is WEIRD!!! but I'm not scared.)

So that's how we MET. How we broke through that extreme akwardness is by passing each other the following Sunday and stopping to talk W/O his mother around. We found out we actually had a lot in common - to include living at home while going to school (a 35 minute commute) and our parents lived only 5 minutes from each other. So we decided to commute together to save on gas and to just have someone to talk to.

We were engaged 6 months later, and married 5 months after that!

We were married on January 4th, 1997. So, we've been married almost 7 yrs!

We have a 2-3/4 yo. son and a 17 month old DD.

**Side note: his mother is STILL that blunt and up-front. We had been dating only 2 wks. when his mother brought out a book... she had been planning our WEDDING!!! OMGoodness!!! After telling us about the wedding... OUR wedding she proceeded to tell us about the honeymoon - (Jason and I were both virgins when we got arried, so I guess she felt she needed to inform us before the big day!) She went on to tell us how when men get excited and they are covered by only a sheet, they make a TENT!!! YUP!!! That's my MIL! To this day, if Jason's making a "tent" we can't help but be a little embarrased and weirded out by his mothers comments!

Thanks Claire,

1) I have no idea. We will not be finding out the sex... but we already have boy stuff and girl stuff. I cannot justify buying more stuff. So it'll probably be:

Boy: yellow and blue with ducks.

Girl - lilac with butterflies.

**We have natural colored wood furniture for the nursery.

2)We want 4-5 children. Don't know if we will make it there due to a VERY thinned out uterus. I've had 3 dr's opinions and they all say, "Let's TRY a third and see what happens. We cannot promise you'll carry to term though." I'm REALLY praying that if we cannot have a fourth that God will at least give me twins this time then. DH thinks that is the most backwards thinking though. I agree, but I really want at least 4. If I can't get to 4 and I don't have twins, I WILL be completely content and happy with the 3 blessings I will have!

3)5'3" 135 lbs. mid-back long blonde hair. blue eyes. and typically dress more business casual... even though I am a SAHM. I don't want to get trapped into the SAHM -wearing sweats and never wearing make-up patter. I really believe that you feel how you look! I want to feel young and beautiful - both for me and my husband. He works hard for me, I should work hard for him! :-)

4) Answered, probably while you were posting this.

5) A night-time, candle-lit, snow-falling - amazing, romantic January 4th wedding. We had a very scriptually based - worship based wedding. For us, it was absolutely amazing! The reception was great. Having all our friends and family all together at the same time was so great!

Thanks for asking!!!

Hey Lissa,

Thanks again! I don't mind. It makes me think back to some wonderful times... or some wonderful thoughts for the future!

Gosh, I don't know. There are SOOOO many things I would love to do! I always ask people what their one regret is, and this is why I ask it.

My one regret in life is giving up the piano and violin. I was young and very impressionalbe and you were considered a geek if you played in the JHS and HS orchestra. So, I didn't want to get that label. Even though my teaches had placed me (a 7th grader at the time) in HONORS orchestra (which is ONLY for high scoolers and which had never been done in the schools history) I quit!!! I QUIT! All because I didn't want to be a geek. Hind sight really is 20/20. Who cares if I would've been labled a "geek" who are they now, and who I am now has NOTHING to do with those people in JHS and HS. I wish I had been more in tune with ME - my true self and just stuck with it.

So, to answer your question, I would LOVE to play the piano and violin WELL! Very well!

Also, I would love to have lived when Jesus was alive, to have witnessed all the miracles he did and to just have met a PERFECT human being! I cannot even imagin it! I guess I'll meet Him some day, hopefully not any time soon though. I want to enjoy my babies for now!
