Fertile CM after O??
| Thu, 10-02-2003 - 6:47pm |
Hello,
I just had a question as to whether anyone has had fertile cm about 3 days after O? What's strange is that I got a + on OPK on Saturday. Then, - on Sunday. I had very little CM and what I thought was a very strong O pain for a few hours on Sunday. So, we Bd'd. I started getting EWCM yesterday (and a slgiht tugging, not nearly as sharp, but on the same side, like O pain). I also check CP. My CP was high and soft on Sat night/Sun morning and then very low and hard on Mon and Tues. Wed night it went high again. The OPK was negative on Wednesday at around 2pm. Could I have O'd twice? Was one a false alarm? Anyone have fertile CM twice in one cycle? Could I have O'd twice??! Twins! LOL! My chart "thinks" I O'd on Sunday (which is what I think. Thanks in advance.

I often have EWCM after I O. I'm not really sure why, but it's just there. I always make sure we still bd just in case my temps were wrong.
I'm not really sure about O-ing twice though. I think I've read both that it is possible and that it's not. Sorry to not be of much help.
I hope you got that little eggie, either way!

Dual ovulation IS possible, but rather rare. In most cases, it occurs in the form of 2 eggs being released within 24 hours of one another. If fraternal twins run on your mother's side, you may be at an increased "risk" of this. There was also a recent study that found 12 out of 50 women ovulating more than once in a cycle, with one of the O's taking place contrary to all hormonal signs and over a week apart from the "real O."
Good luck to you!
