First Time TTC, So Confused, Unique Case

I am 20 years old, healthy female. I have been married for about 3 months and my husband and I are trying to conceive. We are on the first month, and I should have the results by the 5th of December but here's the situation:

In August, a month before our wedding I was so stressed out from pre-bridal craziness, my period never came. I haven't been on birth control for over a year now and since I went off my periods were pretty regular. I missed it in August, and it still had not come, so October I met with my doctor. We made sure I wasn't pregnant, and I wasn't so she gave me PREVERA to start my period and flush all the stuff out. I finally had my period November 1st - 5th, and so we decided to start trying to conceive. I talked with an advice nurse from our local OBGYN center and she said I should be ovulating around 2 weeks after my period, so we have been trying those days a lot and others pretty consistantly.

I am basically in the waiting period because I should start my period today correct? I don't know?!?! If it doesn't start again like it should do I get more Prevera? I did a pregnancy test about 2 days ago and I am going to take one today... but if my period stays irregular do I assume I'm pregnant???

PLEASE HELP! any advice is much appreciated!!!

Hi Nicolle,

If you had your period between 11/1-11/5, then I would wait another day or two if you can before testing especially if it is not regular. Trust me I know it is difficult but I just went through that last month and I made myself wait 2 days after AF started so that I wouldn't be second guessing myself. If you wait and it is still BFN and there is no AF then I would call your doctor and they could do bloodwork. Best of luck!

The guessing game is so stressful. I definitely recommend temping. It has made my stress level go down dramatically. I like knowing when and if I ovulated and then from there be able to determine when to expect AF or appropriate times to test. I just quit BCP 2 months ago and my cycles haven't been regular since and if it weren't for temping, I would have been POAS like a crazy lady and wasting tons of money on it too. I hope you get your BFP this month and won't have to worry about temping or anything else like that.

Good luck! These ladies here are
