Will you be getting a flu shot while TTC?

I will for sure be getting a flu shot. You are considered high risk when you are pg so even more of a reason to get it. I never used to get flu shots until I worked in a pediatricians office and even then I didn't always get them. Since getting pg and having my DD I do get it mostly to protect her.

I agree. Its best to get it in order to protect your baby. I don't think there has been anything to show that it does any damage to a fetus.

I actually JUST NOW read a blurb in Fit Pregnancy that says this:

"September or October is the best time for mom-to-be to get her flu shot. The shot is especially important if your due date is during the October-to-May flu season because the babies of vaccinated moms are born with influenza antibodies and are 50% less likely to be hospitalized for the flu. Otherwise, infants are vulnerable until they are eligible to get their own flu shot at 6 months."
