I'd also like to hear the answer to that, as I just take what's in the prenatal vitamin I take plus an extra one that melts under the tongue, not sure the amount though.

March of Dimes recommends 400 micrograms ( I think that is what they are called).

I take a prenatal vitamin, 100mg of b6, 250mcg b12, calcium w/ vita d, 1,000mg fish oil and a hair skin and nails multivitamin. I've had losses and during my lp I have spotting days before AF so I wanted to to see if b6 would help with that and it is said that you should take b12 if you are taking b6 so I added it in the mix. Good luck

My OB said that Folic acid leaves your body if you don't need it so you can't OD on it. She told me to take 1200mg and that there has been recent studies that show taking it up to a year before getting pregnant can be beneficial. Hope that helps. I know others docs tell people 400-1200 so it's all over the board!
