Freaking out! How high should temps be?

First off, I should say that I don't really temp -- at least not properly. I don't have the right thermometer and I don't do it at the same time every day. That probably makes any results invalid, but a temp is a temp, right?

I should be excited that my temps are high and I have other symptoms (nausea and cramping -- although both have eased off today) but now I'm paranoid that I'm not pregnant and I'm sick instead!!

Could I be more obsessed with my body???

Anyway, how high should or does a "high" temp go? I just took mine and it's 99.3. Yesterday it was right on normal. MY normal is lower -- usually in the high 97s, which is where it was during AF and before O.

Help!! Going crazy!!! Except for feeling hot from the inside out, I feel just fine!

So you're feeling fine? Not sick? Just "low grade" fever? Umm.....I hate to get your hopes up babe, but that's exactly what I had with my last BFP!!!!!! It is normal for your active temp to be higher than your waking temp- movement and the heat of the day may be a factor. I hope it's pg RPS for you!!!!!

GL! and BFP vibes!

Are you using a regular themometer? You said you were not taking your temp at the same time every day, how big is the difference?

For example, I take my temps everyday (even on the weekends, I just roll back over and fall back to sleep) at 5:30am. When I first started taking my temps I wanted to see just how big a difference was a difference, so I took it at 5:30am and then again at 5:30 pm. This is what I noticed. My temps in the morning ranged from 97.0-97.7 pre O time, but the 5:30pm temp was the same 98.6 everyday. I only did this for about 4-5 days. Anywho............What I am getting at is this...........Making sure you take yor temp close to the same time everyday does make a difference and a temp is not a temp unless you do.

Anyway, that is my 2cents worth.

GL to you and keep us posted.

Thanks for the input Tara! I'd like to think it's a symptom too -- I just wasn't sure if a low grade fever was one or not.

Seriously, a low grade fever is REALLY unusual for me because, as I said, my normal can be as low as 97.0. It always has been -- all my life. And aside from the nausea and cramping over the last two days I feel totally fine...a little hot, but fine.

I'm only at 9dpo so I have a few days to go before I can end the suspense. And the suspense is trying it's darndest to kill me! LOL!

Thanks again!!

I would love to have a testing buddy though!

What do you think? Can I convince you to go a day early? LOL!

I was just reading about the digital HPTs in a magazine. I like the idea of not having to hunt around for a line and seeing shadows you think are lines, and holding it up in all kinds of light to see if you see a line!

I guess at 8dpo you haven't tried it yet, but let me know what you think if it when you do -- I'm curious!

Good luck!!

Hey Kristin!

You could go to the FF Chart Gallery to see a bunch of different charts and the ranges that temps seem to fall in...it can be pretty different for different people.

Good Luck!
