So I am like 4 days late and so now I am at a 33 day cycle and I think AF is knocking at my door. I used to be a 26 day cycle, last month was 30 and this month looks like it's gonna be a 34 day cycle. My doctor when I went should no concern in the legnth changing but it's bothering me because now I have NO idea what to do about O'ing. Grrr

I had a lot of frustration with the Answer test...it also didn't help that I ovulated on day 19, and with the Answer tests I started testing right after AF. I figured there were 20 in the pack so why not?? I had no idea I ovulate late....now I know better!!! But anyway, I had a lot of frustration not knowing whether or not it was truly positive or just "close". There is no mistaking it with the digital. For me, the piece of mind is totally worth the extra money.

Hi. I have a similar problem. My cycle length varies from about 29-34 days. Its extremely frustrating! My O date has ranged from day 15 to day 24. Last month it was day 23 the month prior, 15. Needless to say I started wasting the expensive digital opk's on day 13 which means I went through 2 BOXES of 30 dollar tests. Sweet. Anyway, my advice for you is to use the Answer brand opk's until you get what you think is a positive. Then use one of the digital opk's to back it up. Since there are 20 in a pack for the answer they are pretty cost effective. The digis are a bit more expensive. You could also invest in a fertility monitor. This cycle I am relying on CM and CP to decide when to bust out the digi opk.

Also, I wanted to say, so long as your LP is longer than 10 days and stays pretty consistent then there really is nothing wrong with your cycle according to the Dr's. The only thing wrong is that it is annoying and frustrating when TTC.

I totally feel your pain. Good luck this cycle with BD'ing!

Oh and temping has really helped me confirm my ovulation. Plus it is good to have in case there is a fertility problem, its good info for your Dr. I will be bringing mine with me to my first appointment on Monday!

Thanks so much! I'm glad to hear that I am not the only one with a crazy cycle! I did buy an Answer pack this month and I have a few extra digital ones. I am going to invest in a monitor I think next month, we'll see how this month goes.

I agree with using the digital to back up the other test. The digitals are too expensive to waste when you're 95% sure you're not Oing anyway, but if your cycle is unpredictable and you don't want to miss the boat, I'd use the Answer test and the digital to back it up. Good idea, I might do the same thing this cycle.

The temping is very good also, as long as you make sure you temp consistently, which is something i have to be much better about.

GL!!!
