I wanted to pass along a link to an article on TTC after going off of birth control:

When I was 25 and stopped birth control I was pregnant after 3 months. This time, at 28, I've been off bc for 3 months and am still having irregular periods and bleeding, and am not pregnant yet. So, I think it can be different not just from woman to woman, but from time to time for the same person! I just keep my fx that it won't take much longer for my body to regulate!

When my period began, I was like clockwork. Only a handful of times was I outside of every 27 to 30 days from the month I turned 12 until I went on bc when I was 26.5. I was on bc for about 5 years. Had trouble regulating to them, lots of breakthrough bleeding and bad headaches and such, then was on Nuvaring for the rest of the time. I came off of bc in the end of May and had regular cycles since.

I have been on and off birth control for several years. Every time I've stopped taking them, my period comes exactly on schedule, 28 to 29 days later. I'm hoping that's the case for me this month because I stopped taking the pill in order to ttc and this is our first cycle. I'm hoping I'm lucky enough to still be on my regular schedule, and also hoping I'm as lucky as I was the other 2 times I've been pregnant, once was an oops, we had unprotected sex only one time, on the day I ovulated, and that's where my daughter came from. The other time was planned on a whim, and we BD unprotected only one time, the day before I ovulated and I got pregnant that time too (but miscarried at 11 weeks). I've been taking a bunch of dollar store tests which are all negative (with pink evap lines that show up after 30 minutes), but my period isn't due until Tuesday or Wed (and it's currently Friday). We'll see!
