Thanks for asking....they couldn't do it!!! I was poked and prodded for an hour with nothing to show for it because they couldn't reach my cervix. I was on the table for half an hour, sent for a sonogram, and then back on the table....and nothing. I was soooo frustrated. I went to my doc and they were trying to get me in somewhere else, but no one could take me today and I already took the day off of work for this, and I'm already on day 10. When I realized that without this, they wouldn't prescribe me the Clomid in time for my next cycle, I literally burst into tears.

I know its very early in the process for us, but this is already becoming very frustrating and upsetting....my doc actually referred me to a really well-known fertility specialist in my area. Apparently he's "the guy to go to." I know it seems silly to go to a specialist so early in the process, but they actually suggested it. I wasn't going to turn it down!! I'm going next week, I'll keep you guys posted.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Wow, that's crazy! I've never heard of that before. Why couldn't they find your cervix?

I am still unclear on that part. At point point they sent me in for a sonogram because he thought that locating it on the screen might help him find it. It was there, of course (I swear, for a few minutes I was wondering if I even HAD a cervix), but then back on the table, he couldn't get to it.

Apparently I have a long vaginal canal (only me, people, only me) which made things difficult. I asked if it was abnormal, and they said not at all....but then to not be able to get to the cervix?? WTF? I've NEVER had a doctor tell me this before, so it was kind of shocking.

I gave up on the HSG for this cycle. I'll see what the specialist says when I go next week.

I know, it really makes me feel like there is something anatomically wrong with me.
