Got a BFP last night and a BFN this morn

Good morning Ladies!

Ok, a little background info first...I had my first IUI with Femara on Feb 4th. My doc said that I could test on the 18th (today). I was a wee bit anxious last night so I took a HPT...which was positive! I was cautiously happy-- seeing that my doc told me I could get a false positive because of the hCG. I tested this morning and got a BFN....but my temp didn't drop (which it usually does around this time) to indicate I was getting AF. I think the Femara has my body so messed up that I don't know what to trust.

Do you all think it's a for sure negative or do you think I should test again tomorrow if AF doesn't arrive?? You can be honest if you think it's a no.

Thanks bunches!
Danielle

Were they the same brand of tests? That's weird. I would suggest getting a different brand and testing again tomorrow with FMU or later today after you've held your pee for at least 4 hours. Good luck!!

Was it a dark positive? If it was faint, I need to ask whether or not the like appeared within the test's time frame. Any line appearing outside the time frame should always be disregarded. Also, did you test with two different brands? It's possible that your urine was more condensed last night than this morning.

I really hope you get your BFP. Please keep us posted. GL!!

Thank you, Amanda & Stephanie :o)

They were two different brands of tests. The one from last night was a two-line brand and the one from this morning was a digital one-- I'm guessing that the digital one is probably more reliable?? The line from last night was not dark dark pink but un-mistakenly pink (not faint). I'm so new at this so I really appreciate the feedback you all have given. :o)

I'm a little bummed b/c it looks like the results from test #2 is probably the correct result... but hey, weirder things have happened, right? :o) Right?? lol

Thanks all!!

Digital tests need more hCG than the line tests to determine pregnancy. Give your Dr's office a call and tell them what happened. They can order a blood test and you can know by tomorrow (even by the end of the day today if you get in soon enough) whether or not you're pg. GL!!

OOOHH!! That's good news! I agree with Stephanie. Digi's have a higher reporting limit, which means you need more HcG to get a positive then the line tests. Sounds to me like a line is a line. I bet if you test again tomorrow with another digi it may be positive!! Good luck!!

Stephanie & Amanda-- I think I love you guys! LOL ;o) Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I soooo needed that. You know...DH just pointed out something to me...I've never had very good luck with poas! Even my OPK's don't ever show a positive...so maybe that has something to do with it?

I called my RE and they said to wait a few more days. Ugh. I'll definitely let you guys know....and probably with my obsessiveness (lol) I'll poas again...and again until I can go to the doc. :o)

Thanks for making me smile! :o) Hope you both have a great day!
