Just wanted to say hello. My name is Jenni and I'm 25, just went off BCP. I have been on them since I was 19. Just looking for some insight on how long it might take to concieve since I have been on them 6 years. New to this pregnancy stuff, but can't wait to have children.

Thanks

Jenni

Well, they say you aren't supposed to count the first 3 months off of the pill because it can take that long for your system to get rid of all the hormones.

Also, they said that you shouldn't seek any outside help unless you have been trying for 6month - 1year.

Last they say by the end of a year at 25... 85% of all couples will be pregnant if they are trying.

Does that help?

Hey good luck! My DH and I (22), are also trying after me coming off the pill, I was on it for about 6 years also. I don't know how long it will take, this board has shown me that it is different with each person! Good luck!
