Hi

I can't tell you what a relief it was to find this board. DH and I have been trying since December, and I think I might drive myself crazy with the emotional roller coaster. Every month I think I've got all of the symptoms, and that I'm definitely pregnant, then there's the inevitable emotional fall when AF comes to visit.

Any words of advice on how to cope with this emotional roller coaster would be soooo appreciated. All of my friends got pregnant almost immediately after they started trying (1-2 months), so while they try to help, they don't really know what to say.

Thanks for your support,

Gracie

Hi Gracie! Welcome to the board! The best thing that I have done for my sanity is to participate in this board. I have gained so much information, and the friendships go beyond TTC issues!! I have been TTC #1 since August, and am on hold right now, but welcome!!!

Hi Gracie!!!!! I'm so sorry you're going through this roller coaster ttc, but you know what- we are too, so you're in the right place!!!!!!! So, let me start by asking are you charting? What cycle day are you on? Are you charting your cervical mucous (cm) and cervix position (cp) because those are also very good aids into BD (baby dancing) during your peak fertile period.

I'm sorry to say that I've been here on the boards for about 6 months now and went through three months of irregular cycles (never being irregular before) and now having some medical issues that stopped me from ttc (trying to conceive) - so af's arrival for me has been a thrill - lol!! But I'm hoping this next cycle (af due tomorrow) that I'll be back in the game and joining you in the roller coaster ride cause I too shall be bummed when she comes and I'm really wanting that BFP (big fat positive, hpt and/or big fat pregnancy) to come. Sorry I'm trying to define my accronyms for you as I go so if you aren't familiar then you won't have to go look them up, hee hee. I know all of the ladies here are going to be so happy you're joining us too...and maybe we won't have the right advice and/or answers to why your BFP has/is taking so long, but we'll be great shoulders to cry on when and if af comes to visit and we'll be there for you through your next cycle!! ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) If you're charting forget all that mumbo jumbo at the top of my post- if you're not and are more interested in trying it- post back and I'd be happy and many other women here too...to share with you how to get started. If you're interested in seeing my chart here it is.

I hope your stay here is short and sweet!!!! GL!!! Oh, sorry in this new board format we've got roll call sections by weeks of when AFNW (aunt flo not wanted, ie your period is due) but it's so confusing to figure out. We'll help you get to the right group as soon as we learn when your af is due.

Hi Annie,

Thanks so much for your reply and support! Best of luck with TTC - I hope that you are keeping well through all of this, and am glad that you've benefitted from the friendships you've made on the board.

It's great to feel part of such a great community of women all on the same journey.

Connie, you are a god-send!

Since December we've been doing the BD every second day between day 10 and 20 of my cycle (what friends suggested). Right now I'm day 9 of my cycle, so DH is resting up for the marathon of BD over the next 10 days... (poor guy).

How do you chart your cp and cm? I took a look at your chart, and I'm not sure I understand what it all means (will have to read up more on the site it is posted on). Thank you for defining the acronyms for me - I had to print out the page of definitions when I first got here just so I could make sense of things (lol!).

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll be back in the game soon! It's strange how just the stress of all of this can throw your cycle off. It's sooo hard to keep an even keel when you're desperately wanting the BFP!

Thank you for offering your shoulder through all of this. I'm honoured to add my shoulder to the group. I will send you my best thoughts and wishes that you are back in the game tomorrow!

As far as getting me in the right group for the roll call, AF is due around the 20th/21st - good ol' AF can't make up her mind whether she's coming every 27 or 28 days.

Thanks again, Connie - It is really wonderful to feel a part of such a great group of women!

love,

Gracie

Hey Gracie, Welcome. YOu have indeed found a place with lots of love and support. I too have been TTCing since December (altho' only really putting in a major effort for two monhts now) I know how frustrating it is. I feel this time round I may have to pull my hair out if it doesn't work. With all the babies in the world, you would think it'd be easy, but alas.....Well, here's to us all graduating from the board soon! Hugs, Nat 32, ttc1 cd4 PS. You might want to check out Babymed.com. They have loads of info on checking Cervical mucus and position to gage your fertile window.
