Hi Ladies!

Well i'm about 10 dpo and i was trying not to test til i actually miss af but i couldn't help myself. You all know how that goes lol.Anyhow i bought a couple of the Cheap walmart test, they are called First Signal and cost 88 cents each. They say that they are 99% accurate on the first day of your missed af.So i gave in an test at noon and 5 days before af is due,and at 3 minutes i got a very, very faint second line.I can see it without holding to the light but it's sooo faint.I'm only 10 dpo maybe 9 dpo.My cycle is a regular 30 days.I don't expect af til the 10th or 11th.I think i o'd on black friday because of my positive opk on thanksgiving

I Actually did go get an frer test and got a clear almost dark line as the control line which gave me the confidence to take it as a BFP! I wish i could figure out how to upload pics of the faint bfp and the dark bfp taken on the same day

There was a girl on here a few months ago who was getting faint lines on those walmart tests and thinking they were faulty. And then the day after her period was due she took an FRER and it was a blaring positive!! So I vote for going to get an FRER. The walmart tests are accurate, but probably not as sensitive. Good luck!!!

Just because a test is cheap does not render it inaccurate. In my experience (reading countless posts over the last year), cheapies tend to deliver very faint lines which often do get backed up with a more expensive test. As long as your bfp came up within the time limit & looks pink (not grey), chances are good it's not an evap. For the most part false positives are rare & if not backed up by b/w are often cp's. Not testing because of concerns of detecting a cp is also a good reason not to poas too early.

I totally understand not wanting to test & risk a bfn. If you do take the plunge, just remember a bfn doesn't mean a darn tooting thing until you're greeted by af.

*If* I get a bfp & that's a really big IF, then I'm gonna hang my hpt on the Christmas tree like an ornament & surprise dh that way! No way I could wait til Christmas day ;)

The reason why i'm not taking this faint positive seriously is because i used a walmart cheapy(first signal) test which cost only 88 cents. It might be wrong or maybe a false faint positive.I just don't want to get my hopes up and then i'm not.I'm only 10 dpo so it't still very early. But thanks for the kind words.I hope we all get our BFP's this month!!! I was thinking of giving Dh his christmas present by wrapping up the test very nicely with ribbon and surprise him but that's if i get a dark bfp before christmas.

Go get an frer & poas in the morning!! Testing at 9dpo at night with an ic almost guarantees a bfn so don't let that get you down. A back ache can go either way as far as symptoms are concerned, but then again, so do all symptoms at this stage of the game!

Af is due on Monday? You can't possibly keep us in suspense that long!!! We need to celebrate some Christmas bfps to keep the hope alive ;)

Good luck!
