I have taken this medicine a lot. I have asked before if it was okay for pregnancy and was told it was by both my doctor and my pharmacist. I found this on the internet:

Pregnancy Category B: Reproduction studies have been performed in rats at doses up to 50 mg/kg/day and have revealed no evidence of impaired fertility or harm to the fetus due to Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride. There are however, no adequate and well controlled studies in pregnant women. Because animal reproduction studies are not always predictive of human response, this drug should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed.

I actually have some now, that I have had to take off and on, and they are 200 mg tablets and I can take them three times a day.

If you are worried, I would call your pharmacy or doctor, but usually anything in Class B is considered safe. HTH!

(the nurse asked if i was pregnant- i said "i hope so- but i only ovulated 2 days ago- so its not implanted yet..." she hesitated and was like..."ok...." lol it made me laugh...)
