HELP?? WHATS GOING ON???

OK...here is a SHORT version of my confusion. My husband and I had intrauterine insemination done on August 28th. (I am having some fertility problems). I was so happy...I took 3 pregnancy tests...2 First Response and 1 EPT. The EPT was a VERY VERY light pink, but the ER was a light pink but it was a definite line (ALL 3 POSITIVE... a line is a line) I went to the Dr today and had a test done there, it was NEG. Does anyone know if the tests that clinics use detect pregnancy before your period is expected. ER does and EPT is for after. I just cant understand why I had 3 positives tests and then the BIG damper of the negative test at the DR. Has anyone know the Dr to be wrong??? COULD I STILL BE PREGNANT??? I have alot of the symptoms....crampy, sore breasts and slight nausea.

Congrats on your three BFP's! Hopefully, the doctor's test was just a false-negative. There's supposedly no such thing as a false positive, so your home tests should have been accurate.

I'm lurking from the May 2004 Club (EDD 5-12-4) and am having all the symptoms that you're experiencing.

As for the doctor's test, was it a urine test or blood test? If it was urine, I would say it was probably a false negative. If it was a blood test, which should be more sensitive to lower/early levels of the hormone, I would pay close attention to your side effects... I've heard stories where the breast soreness, nausea, etc. will cut out immediately in event of an early m/c.

Hope your side effects continue, and the rests of your tests are BFP's!!!

Good Luck!

I went to my dr 2 weeks ago and she told me that their tests really aren't any better than HPT. Some HPT maybe more sensitive. Depends on the sensitivity test te dr uses. Hope everything works out.

I don't know about the doctor's urine test, but I work for a health department and we just use regular hpt that can be used as early as the first missed day of your period. So, they aren't that sensitive.
