Hi there!

We are back from our long trip away and things are going fine. Our new house is moving along nicely and our visit to the specialist for my DS went great. They gave us an excellent prognosis, so that has made us really happy.

While we were away, I tried really hard not to think about TTC at all. I did continue temp -- but only because I thought my Dr would want to do more blood work after O, so I would need to know when that was. It is a good thing I did, b/c my cycle has been a little wacky this month, and my O was at least a few days early (like CD 13 or 14 instead of 16 or 17 like it usually is). So that is good. Our timing with BD was also good --we did every other day on the advice of my midwife, even though DH's SA was so stellar. I wont even get into detail about the awful pull-out couch at the hotel in Nashville! Not fun, but we did it!

So this morning I met with the doctor and had a vag ultrasound (that will wake you up, for sure!). Everything looked great. I don;t have PCOS, so that is good. The lining of my uterus is very good, and I have several healthy follicles. He could tell that I had ovulated, so that's positive, too. We discussed the blood work that I had done before I left (FSH 9.9; LH 9.3; Thyroid 3.4) and he seemed only marginally concerned. He said they were both high, but not quite high enough to rule anything out. They took some blood to check my progesterone, so I should get the results back tomorrow or wednesday. Can you beleive i *forgot* to ask them to check HCG?? I called back later and asked -- they said they would see what they could do -- the nurse wasn't sure if it could be checked out of the same vial. If my progesterone is low, then next month, I'll take some starting after O. And I can schedule the HSG for next cycle day 10 if i want to. Do I want to? Any thoughts? He did seem to think that if i had any scarring from my c-section that it would show up on the HSG, so maybe I do want to do it....

I have to go pick up my DS from preschool now, so I don't have time to check in on anyone else, but I will check back in during his nap. I have been thinking about you all lots. I did notice that my old group has completely vanished! I don't want to start griping or anything, but I am saddened at what has happened here. Where is everyone? I do see a core group who have valiantly plugged away (bless you girls!). I realize I haven't been around either, but I hope we haven't lost the bulk of our group due to frustration with the new format. That would make me so sad. For those of you that have been posting regularly, have you found that you have finally gotten used to the new board? Any recommendations? I heard that they were going to install an Outline View for each folder -- I think that would help a lot, don't you?

I have missed you guys. Hope you all are well.

Oh yeah, my chart -- http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1f182/ -- it is weird (low temps, but I am temping 1 hour earlier than my other cycles -- and 2 hours earlier than the pg chart at the bottom of my home page, so that explains a little of it) and not like my other ones. I am hoping this is just a weird cycle and when I redo my CD3 bloodwork next cycle the numbers will be nice and low. Oh, and BTW, the DR said it was too early to see if I was pg from the ultrasound this morning -- i did remember to ask about that, wink wink.

xo!

Hi Jenny! So good to see you back! I hope your trip was great.

Talk about changes, eh? Urghh. We are plugging away here, but it certainly is frusterating. I though we would have new folders by now, but obviously not. I think things will improve when we do, and be a bit more like our old board. As it stands now I rarely post myself...though I try to keep an eye on this general board and respond when I can be of help:-). There are a bunch of the regulars that have actually made their own board in the format of the old one. I'll post it here for you and hope that it's not deleted as has been PP's habit. If I see it's deleted I'll e-mail it to you later. http://www.network54.com/Hide/Forum/245510 You'll recognize some names there for sure. Many here have gone into lurkdome.

As far as your testing goes, things are sounding positive. While you're on the roll, I would think that you might as well do the HSG too. Why do everything else and leave that? It would be best to know if it's an issue. I know it is suppose to be uncomfortable, but.....how much worse than an internal u/s??? Hey, you can always plan for it and hope that it is a moot point since you'll be pg then anyway!LOL!

GL to you Jenny, (((((HUGS)))))

Hi Jenny!

I'm so glad to get your update--I have been thinking about you and hoping you'd be back.

Sounds like you have a lot of good and hopeful news on the ttc front.

As far as the board, I have found that the outline view works ok (the only problem is the order jumps around) and that it is harder for me to keep up with people not in my group. On the other hand, it is pretty fast, and there are actually things about it that I like, believe it or not (for example that it displays the message you are replying to under the message you are typing--I love tat). Also, if you are in a folder, if you go to the address bar and change "message" to "outline" and "msg" to "tid" you get a nice outline view. I didn't figure that out--someone else posted it (Maybe Steph?).

Anyway, welcome back and good luck this month! Let's both graduate, OK?

Hugs,

E

Hi Jenny! Welcome back! Everything sounds so positive, let me be a little hopeful that you won't have to worry about next cycle. I don't know about the HSG, no help there, sorry. I just wanted to say that was a great update and for you to try out the new board if you are interested.

That's where a lot of people are, although I suspect many have bagged the boards altogether. Sad, but understandable. Take care and I hope this was your cycle!

Here's another update, both good and bad...

My progesterone level came back very good -- a 22. SO that's good news. The bad news is that I'm not pregnant, but I don't feel disappointed -- I wasn't expecting much this cycle. How nice it is to find this out before one starts obsessing! No mind games this month! Woooo Hooooo!!! Plus, I am going to a wedding in New Orleans this weekend and I am going to throw it down and have a wild time. So there, AF!!!

The doctor (the one at my midwives' office) is through with me. He wants me to start seeing another physician, one who can do the HSG etc. It is a little awkward, b/c I am moving in 2 months. I didn't want to go to their back-up clinic (remember, they told me I was a "new" patient -- after they had gotten thousands of dollars from me for doing a c-section???? Grrrr....) so I am making calls to see who will take me.

I think I will keep temping for the rest of the week until AF just to have the full chart for my records. I'm a nerd that way.

Thank you Tara, E, and Eone for your sweet messages -- it was so nice to hear from you. I'm sending lots of hugs to you all!
