High BBT's 14 DPO, NG PG TEST

Has anyone had high BBT's on day 14 or later DPO and not been PG? I had a temp this am of 98.58, which is high for me this late in my cycle (it's day 31) but I took a PG test and it was negative...I know that doesn't mean I'm not, or that I am not just getting my period late, but I wanted some feedback from others who chart on high temps late in the cycle. Thanks in advance for the advice! :)

I think the rule of thumb is if you still have temps over your coverline 18dpo then you are prego. Hopefully someone else will know more.

If temps are still up I would retest in a couple of days.

Good luck,
Lisa

I am also 14dpo and my temperature this morning was 98.4, which is also high for me. I know that I ovulated 14 days ago because I had a test and had artificial insemination. I have never had a high temperature like this ever before, so I too thought I was pregnant. The pregnancy test was negative, but AF still has not shown up. I've been feeling pains and crampy and have also been going to the bathroom more frequently.Hopefuuly our tests were wrong and maybe we are both pregnant. Good luck and keep me posted!

Goodluck to you too...just an FYI, the PG test I used was one that measures 50 MIU's of HCG...and per the ClearBlue Easy folks, that would not show a positive for most women until 19-20 DPO! I think I am 14-15 DPO...so I don't know what tests your using, but according to the Clearblue Helpline, it really doesn't matter how many DPO you are, it's when you implant. The body doesn't make measurable HCG until the embryo is burrowed in the womb, tests base their ability to have a positive test on the day of your missed period based on implantation on day 8, which is an average, but some woman don't implant until day 10, 11, 12 etc..in whcih case you may not have a positive PG test until you are 4-7 days past your normal period! I learned alot by calling their Helpline, and after discussing with some girlfriends, I feel better that unless my temps drop, I will keep testing! It's so hard waiting, but I am sending prayers and baby dust your way :)
