I am haveing the worst pain on my left side. I am on CD 16 (first cycle of Clomid). I usually have pain when I O, but never this bad. Do you guys think that might be what it is? It is killing me. I want to go home, but no I have to work over today because we are so busy. I just hope it is not a cyst trying to form. I have had them before. Any ideas. Thanks

Kelly

Hi Kelly,

I had the same thing on my 1st round of clomid. It was especially bad the day of O and the 2 days after. It went away by itself (only because it was the weekend and I couldn't call the doctor). Otherwise I would've called them to see if I needed to come in. I would suggest calling your doc, so they can do an ultrasound and make sure you don't have a cyst forming, which can definitely happen on clomid. Hope this helps!

Sounds like you are O'ing... I know clomid brings on a good strong ovulation so that is probably what you are feeling. I dont think you would feel such a strong pain if it was a cyst forming. You usually cant feel that. I had a cyst in my left ovary for 5 years and did not know it! I really think it is just you have a really great ovulation.

Good luck and I sure hope you bd'ed alot!

It induces ovulation. According to my RE. The chances of having twins is greater if you get pg when using Clomid and also chances for getting ovarian cysts are great too!
