Hot Flashes do they make your temp rise?

Hello Ladies,

Question please. Yesterday when I got home from work I was sitting down watching tv for a little while and all of a sudden I got hot. I mean really hot my cheeks were flushed and everything. Since I have never really had a hot flash I assumed that maybe I was getting sick. I had my husband run up stairs and get the therm. 99.3 was my temp. 15 minutes later I was hot anymore. Took my temp again and it was 98.6. Is this concidered a hotflash? I mean I am pretty sure that I am not getting sick since it did not happen again and my temp remained at 98.6 the rest of the night.

Just curious I guess if hot flashes are a side affect of your hormones or anything along those lines. Or maybe pregnancy? Wishful thinking.

That is terrible! They shouldn't act like that! (In my opinion)

I remember that Jessie (Jessie401) and I posted about this once and she had the same kind of doctor and got a new one she loves.

I think that your doctor and his/her nurses should be happy to answer your questions.

Sure, sometimes they might seem frivolous to the Dr./RN, but they are rarely frivolous to the patient. I know that Drs have to deal with hypochondriacs and they are also busy, but still... If my Dr.'s office is busy they just tell me a nurse will call me back. They always do and they are always so nice and patient with me!

I've gotten better about researching things on my own, but sometimes there are things that I just can't find!

Good Luck!!!

Yeah I definetly agree with you. The problem is right now for me is that there are 3 area hospitals that deliver. One is about 5 miles down the road from me but I went for x-rays once on my toe and they told me it wasn't broken but it was broken. The there is another hosp about 25 min. away but they induced a friend of mine when she wasn't even due yet. That really scares me. Then there is the hospital near my parents house which is about 30 minutes away which I really want to go their b/c they have private birthing rooms and it is a brand new maternity ward. The hb wants the closet hosp. My husband is concerned about the ride to the hospital being too far but I was like it is a major highway the whole way and we can always call for a police escort.LOL So I can't figure out which hospital I would like to go to so depending on which doctor I choice is which hospital I will use. Yeah I know it is a little soon to be thinking about the hospital but better safe than sorry right? So I am still doing my research on complaints and word of mouth on what hospital to use at the moment. Which I know that I can always change doctors if I don't like the hospital but I would rather keep the same doctor thoughout my pregnancy.

Oh yeah thanks a bunch!

RAmble Ramble Ramble.

LOL
