This may sound incredibly stupid, but how on earth can you tell what position your cervix is, whether it's low or high, etc.?? It can't change THAT much in a given month, right? I mean, there's only so much room for it to move...so how do you tell? And how is it supposed to feel when you're fertile? Also, does anyone else have longer fingernails? :o Not too long, but I'm wondering if I'll still be able to tell the position and all that (TMI, sorry) Thanks!

Well, when you O the cervix suppose to feel as soft as your lips and when you are near your AF it's suppose to be as hard as the tip of your nose. To tell you the truth I don't check the CP as I find that it doesn't tell much...I rely more on CM. The other thing is that I am afraid that I put myself more at risk to get yeast infection etc. by putting my finger in all the time to check. (yes, you are suppose to wash your hands before but what about under your nails etc... just a little paranoia I have about it.) But that is just me...

The other info is that when you O it is high and when you have Af it's low. To check your CP, it is best to do it when you squat slightly.

I hope it helps.

Closed and still high I believe but not real firm. I know for sure it's definatly closed so no other sperm can get to the fertilized egg. Hth.

Mia,

There is this site that most women on this TTC page refer to.. It's fertility friend. The address to go directly to the FF (fertility friend) handbook is :

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/HelpCenter/FFBook/

This handbook tells you of the different sign you can get on your most fertile period etc...

But if I think and make some logic out of it, on early pregnancy it can stiil be soft depending on how early it is and high...

But I am not sure.

Thank You DIm.

I checked it out, although I do not chart or anything......just BD all the time. I am trying to be patient for 10 more days to test!

Good Luck,
