I wanted to send him something at work when I test at home alone in disbelief. I wanted to send him like a basket of something referring to a baby. There is a great company called Cookiebydesign.com that specializes in all kinds of huge cookies (that you can eat) and they'll paint anything on them or say anything and I thought that would be cool. So something cool like that to make his day at work!!

I am already trying to think of a fun way to break the news. Our first two girls were surprises so he was there with me when I took the tests and we both just sort of stared at them in disbelief. This time, I want to do something special. I have heard that people with older children will buy them a Big Brother or Big Sister shirt to wear when dh comes home. Or some people wrap the test stick up like a present. I just want to do something special and original and would also love to have you all's ideas.

For this baby I have already bought a Big Brother t-shirt for my DS to wear. I have it hidden so DH won't find it prematurely.

When I found out I was pg with my DS I took the test at home after DH went to work. Then I had a beautiful card I had bought a few weeks earlier for the occasion. It was a photograph of a babys feet and it was blank inside. So I wrapped up in a Christmas gift bag (it was Dec.5th) the HPT and a little airplane toy (DH and I both work for the same airline). On the card I just wrote, "Dear Daddy, You're going to have a baby. Love, Mommy". Then I went to work and gave him the present. Giving him a present wasn't too unusual for me, because I usually surprise him with little gifts. He first opened the card and when he saw the baby feet he new. After he read the card he yelled out "WooHoo!". Everyone in the office looked at him and then he told everyone. It was perfect.

If this isn't your first, I heard another good way to tell him. A lady I knew found out she was pg and put a sign on the door of her house that she knew DH would use when he got home. It said, "When does 1 + 1 = 4?". Then he opened the door and she was holding a sign that said, "When you and I get together and make another baby". I thought that was pretty cute.

Hopefully we will all be able to use some of these ideas real soon.

umm... if/when it happens, I'll probably tell my DH by shrieking, screaming, jumping for joy and running around the house with the positive test in my hand... I feel sorry for him already!!! LOL

My DH breathes dwon my neck every time I take a test I so He will just know. His Mom doesn't have any Grandkids ( and is dying for them) yet. I wanted to buy some Grandmom thing like a Photo brag book. I want to wrap it up and jsut hand it to her. It should be great, hopefully we can do it soon!
