How long does an LH surge last?

I've been obsessing about not getting a + result, now I'm wondering if I've missed it...

I hear it is sometime between 12-36 hrs.
For the past seven cycles, I have taken drugs, OPKs, and had ultrasounds to measure follicle maturation. Granted everyone's cycle is different, but I would predict you have about four more days before you'll see your surge. If you are going naturally this month (in other words, having sex in an attempt to get pregnant) then I would start doing the deed as soon as you get your surge (like that that exact minute, but that night) and for the next three to five nights.
I typically see a surge for about two days. One time I saw a surge for seven straight days. It was a results of the follicle not being released from the ovary and my body trying to push another one out. That caused my LH levels to stay high and the results to show for so long.
Very interesting, thank you!
Do you think I have four more days from the time it was measured, or from now? A surge four days from would give me a positive result on or around day 19, with ovulation even later than that, which seems late! But who knows, this is really the first time I've ever tried to keep track, so I have no idea what's really normal for me.
Four days from the sonogram would be Saturday, which is what FF predicts as my ovulation day.
I'll keep testing to see what happens, thanks!
LH surge times vary from woman to woman, and even cycle to cycle.
