How many DPO does it take for a BFP?

Hi,
Just wondering how many days past ovulation it took for you to get a BFP or how many days have you heard of? I am asking because I am 18 DPO with elevated temps and still no sign of AF and getting BFN, wondering if its still possible!
Just wondering how many DPO most people get a BFP....Please post your story or stories you have heard!

EDD 5/1/04
I was at 10DPO when I got my BFP...that's pretty early though. I used First Response Early and Clear Blue Earliest Result.
Good luck!

I used E.P.T. and it only took 1.5 minutes... it was crystal clear!!! I haven't had any real symptoms either.. mostly just vivid dreams, gas (sorry TMI) and I've been rather tired... but that's about it. I feel wonderful. My DH was thrilled!!! He cried he was so happy!!!! I can't believe it!!!!
Congrats to you too!!!
From the www.ivillage.com website, it determined my EDD to be 5/1/04!!! Woo Hoo!!!!
Best wishes to you and to all the other ladies, I'm sending lots of baby dust!!!!

A: The earliest you can get a positive result on the most sensitive pregnancy tests is seven days after ovulation. Implantation needs to occur before hCG is produced, and that generally happens between 6-12 days post ovulation, usually by 10 days after. For this reason, it makes economical sense to wait until 10-12 days after ovulation, but even then a significant percentage of women who are indeed pregnant will still show a negative result. If you have not had an hCG injection (common in fertility treatment, brands include Profasi, Pregnyl and Novarel), you can believe the positive, but you might get a false negative. If your period is late, test again. Your hCG levels should double every 2-3 days and many people won't have a positive HPT until the first day of a missed period or even a few days later.
