HSG -- Late in Cycle

Hello Ladies,

Need your input. My doctor ordered an HSG for me to see if my tubes are blocked. I have a 45 day cycle and have for the past 6 months. Now, i'm being told that I can't have the HSG until next month because they only do them day 6-10 (before ovulation). I tried to rationalize with the surgery center, saying I don't ovulate until day 32, so i'm actually in the window of opportunity for the HSG now. They won't allow it and now I have to wait until mid November.

Has anyone had an HSG with a long cycle?

I am sorry that you have to wait to have your test, but yes, they won't do the test any closer to O.

Not me, but I wanted to tell you that they do the test early in the cycle for reasons other than checking for blocked tubes.
