HSG Normal, but Was it Really?

I had an HSG performed last month and something that I thought was unusual happened, but I need the opinion of someone out there, because maybe I'm just paranoid.

When the doctor was injecting the dye, there were about 15-20 seconds in which the dye didn't go anywhere...he said "Hmmm"..and then "Are you thinking flaw?" to the nurse, but then the dye went and I could see it on the picture...and he said "Everything looks normal".

Now, maybe I am crazy, but should that first part have happened?, is that common?, why would he say flaw and then say normal?

i don't know how long you have been TTC... but if you have been or continue to do so without success, i would suggest getting a lap. My RE does not use the hsg test because fluid can flow through your tubes just fine, but your tubes can be unhealthy. In my case my left tube was fine in an HSG and during the lap he found the ovary & tube were completely covered it scar tissue & adhesions. Not saying this to scare you -but the lap is so useful. i was scared to have it done, but it was easy-peasy. My RE said 8 out of 10 cases he goes in he finds a problem (granted he is talking about people who have most likely been ttc for a year +).
