What mg Clomid have you done? I didnt O on the first two rounds of Clomid (50mg and 100mg), but finally did on 150mg (CD19) and just got my BFP! I had NO hope whatsoever about Oing on 150, so I just went to another OB who would prescribe Femara and do u/s monitoring. Luckly I dont need it, but if you have tried all doses of Clomid and still nothing, try to find an OB who will prescribe Femara. I've heard of many women who dont respond to Clomid and then do with Femara. HTH. Good luck...hang in there!

Hey britt, I went for the b/w today. They actually are going to have me in for an u/s on Tuesday. If everything looks ok, they will start me on 100mg of clomid that day. Is that unusual to start clomid again in a cycle? I mean I do trust him because he is my doctor. I am also happy that I do not have to take provera again. Thanks for your uplifting words. They really helped.

I'm so sorry you are frustrated... TTC is a tough thing to go through.

I didn't respond to clomid either, I tried 50mg, 100mg, then 150mg before going to injectables. I don't have a happy ending yet, but I hope to this year with IVF.

Basically clomid is designed to trick the pituitary gland into overcompensating the FSH it produces to make you ovulate. Surprisingly about 20% of women don't respond to it, or will respond only to higher doses. The injectables bypass the tricking part and just delivers actual FSH into your system.

Thanks carol. i am going to call my insurance co. on monday and see what/they cover as far as injectables go. they cover basic fertility stuff and some stuff needs pre-approval so I will see if they cover any of injectables. i hate needles but i am willing to go there at this point.

Don't count yourself out yet :) The dr will most likely up your doses before referring you to an RE (if he isn't already)... And the injections (of you do end up going there) are a piece of cake. They don't hurt at all... but don't even think about it until you have to :)
