Like you said, it varies, but the "textbook" answer is CD14.

I agree that the textbook answer is day 14 but that is based on a 28 day cycle. If you have a longer cycle, you probably ovulate a little later.

Personally, I usually have a 32/33 day cycle, and tend to ovulate around day 19.

*********************************************************************
Cycle 1 - BFN. Diagnosed with PCOS.
Day 3 Blood Work - Appears to be normal, with slightly high prolactin. Must re-do next cycle.
Cycle 2 - DH's s/a came back normal. BFN - AF arrived early.
Cycle 3 - Day 3 Blood Work re-do is normal. Could not do HSG...long story. Have an appt. with the local fertility genius in mid-May. O'ed early, no chance for a BFP this cycle, which was my first 28 day cycle in YEARS!!! woo hoo
Cycle 4 - Day 3 b/w is normal yet again. Back to my usual CD 19/20/21 O day. Using CBEFM and OPKs, not temping.

Typically a woman will ovulate 14 days before the start of her next period. In a 28 day cycle this would place ovulation on CD 14. If a woman has a longer cycle, say 35 days, she will generally ovulate around CD 21. HTH!
