Well I'm back! Vegas was great and the Cirque de Soleil show, "O", was absolutely amazing! It was so worth every last expensive penny! Words really cannot describe how detailed and precise everything was! It was fantastic!
Vegas itself, was about what I was expecting. It was actually cleaner than I expected. Daytona beach was MUCH dirtier and gross than Vegas. Vegas was gorgeous, clean, had spectacular modern day "castles", if you will, (all the hotels), and some great things to see and experience. The food and the service are comparable to none (continental US that is) - the best meal I ate was a Penne with roasted chicken in a sundried tomatoe cream sauce with chunks of sundried tomatoes... OMGoodness! Honestly, I've never tasted anything so amazing in my life. Even our waitress said that if the chef ever makes a mistake in a new batch, (they have to then throw it all away) the whole restaurant fights over the batch, scooping tons of it into disposable cups and hiding it if they can't eat it right then and there. It truly was amazing! :-)
There were guys standing on the street corners wearing t-shirts saying, "Gilrs, all night! Call..." That saddened me, but I was greatful that the girls were not right there on the street corners. Especially since there were A LOT more children there than I ever expected to see as well.
We also took a trip over to the Hoover Dam. What an amazing sight! It's huge and the generators are so impressive! We would've liked to have seen the Grand Canyon, but we did not have enough time for that.
I gambled... $1 on a slot machine just for the sake of saying I had done it! I made dh take a picture of me. Even though I only did one dollar, I found myself SO irritated that I spent a dollar on something and had nothing to show for it. :-) I'm not sure how people can gamble away their money and feel good about it. On the other hand, I walked up to a craps table and asked the dealers (or whatever you call them) to explain the game to me. After explaining it, I went the next table where a ton of people were playing a game and proceeded to watch one man win $600 and another man won $800!!! I could handle that!
Anyway - it was fun. Thanks for the prayers for my flight! Back to the daily grind and the 1WW! :-)
Have a great Sunday ladies!

I really enjoyed ur post...I am going to be going down to Vegas in December, a friend of DH is getting married and we're going down for a few days. I'm excited for it, but DH likes to gamble too much..he used to work in a casino, that is were we met actually..so I'm afraid of how much he's going to lose..LOL Already told him he can gamble with whatever money he personally saves for himself, nothing else...LOL is that being too strict?? =) I'm with you on the gambling thing...I like the slots, but I don't think I could ever gamble more then $10 and then have nothing to show..LOL
well thanks for the post!
Lynn
