I'm so scared.....

****WARNING**** this is probably going to be pretty graphic so don't read if you can't handle! Here goes:

AF started last Friday and ended on Wednesday (like usual). Well, last night after DD went to bed, DH and I went and took a shower together. We BD'ed with him standing behind me (again, not unusual, we do that a lot) and when he was done and I turned around to face him, I noticed something on the shower floor and when I looked down it was a dark red glob of blood! DH had "finished" but I hadn't yet. That is why I turned around to face him and noticed it. It was like a glob of tissue and I just pushed it down the drain with my foot. Well, DH said he thinks I should have picked it up and put it in a container or something to take to the DR. I put my hand down "there" too and there was all this blood! I showered off and all and then it stopped. DH was really concerned too of course. Well, I guess because it scared me I started shaking and all and started feeling queasy so I got out of the shower, didn't even dry off, I just put my robe on and went and sat on the edge of the tub. Well, I never hurt or anything which is weird. This morning I keep having some very mild cramps. They are not strong but make me feel like AF is coming or something. When I went to the restroom this morning there was just some pinkish spotting (not very much) on the TP. This has NEVER happened before and I am really concerned. I put a call in to my DR and I told them that I wanted to speak to her directly on the phone so now I have to wait for her to get back and call me. She was delivering a baby at the hospital. What could it be???? Please help, I am so scared that something is wrong!

Big ((((((hugs)))))) for you, Sherree. I don't know anything about this, but am thinking about you and your husband and hoping that your doctor calls soon. Hang in there, and let us know what you find out. Hold tight, Michelle

Oh Sheree...!! I don't know really what is going on, but I wanted to say that I am sorry you are so scared. It is not uncommon to bleed during or after sex, but I am glad that you have called the Dr already, that is very good. Please let us know how you are doing, I'm sure it is nothing serious. Hang in there, lots and lots of (((((((hugs))))))) and support!!

Thanks for your posts! I can't seem to concentrate on anything! I just wonder if it isn't a cyst or something.

I had something similar and the nurse said that it's possible to have ovulation bleeding/spotting. How old are you? My nurse said that because I'm now over 30, I can expect weird changes like this.

I turned 22 in February. I am supposed to "O" sometime this weekend like the 3rd or so. I keep having a pain in my lower right side. I am beginning to think it is a cyst or something. I don't think it could be an ectopic or anything because my temps have been low like usual AF-pre O temps.

Hi Sheree

I will keep you and your husband in my thoughts. I can't believe the doctor hasn't called you yet... Maybe you could try to talk to a nurse or another doctor just to try to put your mind a little at ease and still say you want your doctor to call back??? I do have one um, graphic question... was this the 1st time since AF stopped that you guys used that position? I know that allows for um, (can I say this???) deep penetration. Maybe you just had some AF remaining that it knocked out??? Any more bleeding today?

Let us know!!

Sheree-

Any word from your doc yet, sweetie? Big hugs to you. I'd be scared too, but I bet you're fine. I agree with Maggie about the "penetration" issue. A few cycles ago I had some mid cycle spotting after sex and called my doc to ask about it. It wasn't quite what you were describing, but he said that if you've had a normal pap within the last year and aren't at risk for STD, then it is most likely caused by cervical irritation and not to worry about it. Mine went away on its own (but it did happen 3 or 4 times before quitting). I hope you get some answers soon. Let us know.

Hey again ladies! Okay, here goes for the penetration issue: I agree it could be that. I don't know though. That was the first time since AF that we did it from behind standing up. But it wasn't the first time that we did it from behind. The other night we did it in bed with him behind me (not doggie, we were laying on our sides). He was "bigger" (LOL) and he always seems bigger when we do it in the shower or tub. I guess because it is more erotic or maybe the water sensation or something! Maybe the "glob" is what has been keeping me from getting pg; it got knocked loose; and now I can get pg! YEAH RIGHT! Wishful thinking! Well, I am fixing to call the DR back. The bleeding has stopped. I am afraid to have sex again though. I am worried that it will happen again. If it does, at least I will know that I NEED to get to the DR. Well, thanks for all the advice! I looked on the internet under cysts and fibroids and I sure hope it isn't something like that! Thanks again ladies!
